Reaching
Following the witness of scripture, we seek to proclaim the good news where Jesus has not been named. The great sobering reality is that the message of Christ has not been presented to more than two - thirds of the world’s population. Our commitment is that under the guidance of the Spirit, we will expend every effort through every effective means to proclaim the message of Jesus to those who do not know Him.
Planting
We believe that sustainable growth in the Kingdom rests on the planting of healthy churches. The Spirit-reliant church flourishes as it depends on the Spirit to empower its work among its local context. These indigenous churches are self-supporting, self-propagating, and self-governing. Our goal is national church movements that plant churches and send cross-cultural workers.
Training
Assemblies of God World Missions trains spiritual leaders to serve effectively as pastors, evangelists, teachers, and missionaries. Following the discipleship patterns of Jesus Christ and the early church, we train local leaders to undertake the Great Commission. Historically, AGWM has focused on training to ensure that the ongoing work of establishing the Church advances as local leaders train, equip, and resource believers for effective ministry in their own communities.
Serving
We partner with local believers and churches to serve poor and suffering people with the compassion of Christ and invite them to become His followers. Assemblies of God missionaries, national churches, and compassion ministries serve people’s physical needs. We believe the words of Jesus: “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?” Yet Jesus also commanded us not to ignore the suffering of others. We integrate compassion ministry into sharing the gospel and establishing the Church.
