About
Who I am
I am Johanna Mendez. I was born in Dallas, Texas and I am 22 years old. When I was like 7 years old, I was prophesied that I was going to be a missionary. At the time I didn’t know what that even meant, but it's so beautiful how the Lord has a plan in all.
At Southwestern Assemblies of God University, I studied Digital Media Arts and Intercultural Studies. In one of these Intercultural classes, I would want to break down crying everytime I left class because I realized there were many people who do not have access to the gospel, and do not know who Jesus truly was. This is why I have decided to be a missionary associate so people can have access to the gospel, and for them to personally know Jesus.
Where I am going
The enemy has tried to confuse, and divide the people of Northern Ireland. Twenty-five years ago there was a conflict. During this conflict their religious affiliation and cultural identity were deeply tied to the violence that was occurring. Northern Ireland is a country divided to this day. Protestant and Catholic communities are largely segregated. In fact 93% of the schools are still segregated by religion. BUT there is a clean slate with the young generation to know Jesus with fresh new eyes, and we want to be inclusive of both Catholic and Protestant communities!
The Ministry
Party Create is a business as mission, where we focus on creating relationships with the families through creativity. We do art workshops, school assemblies, and kids outreach. Through this ministry we are able to build relationships with families and disciple the next generation to Christ! I will be assisting the ministry with the media. The purpose of media is to meet more people. I will also be connecting with people, and serve the local church. Party Create is opening doors in communities for us to plant a life-giving church in Newry, Northern Ireland and I am honored to be a part of it!
My Story
I grew up knowing about Christ, but I personally didn't accept it until I was 15 years old. I got to witness Jesus’ because of the people that surrounded me. So I want to surround others with the peace and hope that Jesus brings!
My vision to go to NI is to see lives transformed through the peace that Christs gives.
