Darrek & Lindsey Arneson

Darrek, Lindsey and their three kids, Elijah 10, Hailey 7, and Silas 2, are newly appointed career missionaries to Honduras with Child Hope. Darrek was raised in a pastor's home in Oregon, and Lindsey was raise in a pastor's home in Michigan. Both Darrek and Lindsey were called to be missionaries in high school on AIM Missions Trips. They met at Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. They were married during their last semester of Bible College, and they were staff pastors at churches in Missouri, Oregon, and Washington over 15 years.

While on staff at Hope Church in Albany, Oregon, God began to stir their hearts to prepare to fulfill the calling that He had called them to 20 years earlier. God then gave Darrek a vision while serving on a short-term missions trip in Honduras that He was calling the family to serve with the Child Hope schools and feeding centers there in Honduras.

Child Hope (formerly Latin America Child Care) is a compassion ministry that has schools and feeding centers throughout Latin America. There are currently 11 schools and feeding centers throughout Honduras that we will be serving. God has also given us the vision to expand the reach of Child Hope especially to unreached/least reached tribes in the remote places of Honduras. We look forward to more incredible stories of God's saving power in the hearts of the students of Honduras as there is a great need among this group. According to statistics, about 50% of students drop out before reaching high school. Many of these join gangs and drug cartels as they search for hope.
