John & Cheryl Easter

John and Cheryl Easter serve as the director of Partnership Development for Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM). In this position, John helps church leaders and ministry networks to align with the mission of establishing the Church among all peoples everywhere.

AGWM is at the forefront of this endeavor with nearly 2,700 cross-cultural global workers serving in over 190 countries and provinces around the world. Partnership Development works to strategically position AGWM to increase the mission-sending capacity of the local church in fulfilling Jesus’ missions mandate.

Prior to his appointment as director of Partnership Development in 2021, John and Cheryl pastored in the United States for 11 years before being called to Africa, where they served as missionary educators for 22 years. Their ministry passion was to train men and women for church planting efforts, to facilitate missions mobilization, and to equip missionary educators to multiply healthy church leaders.

For eight years, John served as executive director of Africa’s Hope—a resource organization supporting educational initiatives in 46 African nations through the efforts of more than 350 colleges, schools, and extension program that equip over 23,000 students annually.

John and Cheryl have three sons: Kevin, John-John and Mitchell. Mitchell and his wife, Alyssa, have blessed the family with four grandchildren.
