About
Carolyn Marton has served in Mexico with Assemblies of God World Missions since 2009, living and working first as a missionary associate in the city of Guadalajara and then most recently as a fully appointed missionary in the Bajio Region of Central Mexico.
The ministry focus in Central Mexico is on evangelism and church planting, working with local pastors in the Bajio District of the Mexico Assemblies of God. Carolyn has traveled extensively to different communities in the Mexican states of Guanajuato, Michoacan and Queretaro, to assess the needs and determine how a partnership might be formed with the national church to best serve that region. Opportunities have been given for preaching, children's ministry teacher-training, and evangelistic outreach through kids ministry and medical/dental clinics. Church teams from the United States have been received to assist with week-long VBS, sports and arts camps, prayer-walks, food distribution and hospital prayer ministry. The number one priority is to reach communities where the Gospel has not previously been received and a growing church is not present.
Carolyn also serves the district Bible school by preaching in chapels, mentoring students and working together in missions outreach. The Bible school serves to train and equip national pastors, ministers, teachers, church planters and future missionaries.
