Our family has over 100 years of military service and our family hallmark has been to save and to serve people. We have been married for 26 years and have two grown children Dorian and Destiny. We also have 2 dogs (fur babies) Pebbles and Diesel. In 2016 we retired from the Army after 26 years of service and moved to Fort Worth, Texas.

This past August 2018 we spent eight days in Guatemala with some missionary friends of ours Daren & Heidi Walker. We went there to set up a mission trip for our church, but God had bigger plans for us. He planted a seed in our hearts that began to grow as we ministered in Guatemala. There was a school located in the Red-light District called Patria Nueva.  As we were meeting the students at the school, there was a little girl named Eily.  She was in the 3rd grade and needed to be sponsored in order to remain in school.  Eily’s mom is a single mother of three and the sole provider for the family.  When we heard Eily’s story we asked the principal if we could meet her.  Despite her situation at home she gleamed like a bright light.  After meeting her and talking to her we fell in love with her.  We wanted to ensure that her light would never go out.  So, we decided to become her sponsors.

We are on the missions’ field serving alongside Kenny & Lacey Horton, Childhope Guatemala Directors. We will be assisting with 19 schools and churches with evangelistic outreaches, church planting, medical wellness and discipleship programs.
