Across the world, there are over 2 billion people who are Buddhist or Hindu, almost a quarter of the human population on Earth. Concentrated in Eurasia, Northern Asia, and Asia Pacific, with a growing population across the U.S. While their culture or language may be different, God’s love for them is the same.
The Spirit of God is moving among Buddhist and Hindu people. While the need is great, God’s plan is greater. Now is the time to step out in faith. Because God so loved the world—but many still have never heard.
Just as not all people across the spectrum of Christian faith and denominations hold the same beliefs, there is diversity in the belief systems of people in the Buddhist Hindu world.

The Joshua Project seeks to answer the questions that result from the Great Commission's call to make disciples among every nation or people group: Who are the ethnic people groups of the world? Which people groups still need initial church-planting in their midst? What ministry resources are available to reach the least-reached?
The population of Asian-Americans is diverse. 22 million people trace their roots to more than 20 countries in Asia, each with unique culture, language, and history. By 2060, the U.S. Asian population is projected to reach 46 million. This diaspora population (diaspora: people who move or disperse from their homeland to another area of the world) is located throughout the United States and likely within your city.
