Sonia Alanya

Sonia was born in Lima-Peru. She encountered Jesus in Peru and received him as her lord and savior, at a very young age. It was also then that she received her call to the nations through a missions service. From that point, her life changed. Her family had the opportunity to move to NJ when she was 11yrs old and there, she began a new life in a new culture and language. 

Sonia re-committed her life to the lord as an adult and began her journey of faith. By then, she was also a social worker and mental health service provider for children and youth at risk. Through this career, she discovered her greatest passion, to help people find freedom in Jesus and witness the power of God at work in the life of hurting people. 

Sonia was part of a church plant in Lakewood, NJ when she received her call to serve as a world missionary and said yes to the call. Since, she has served a 2-year term in Romania working with a children's evangelism ministry team and has just finished another 2-year term in Hungary serving at an international church as a discipleship pastor. 

Now, as an ordained minister and fully appointed missionary, Sonia has the opportunity to plant a church in Valencia, Spain. She's looking forward to seeing the power of god displayed once again in this new phase of ministry.  Thank you very much for your support.
