Peter & Vicky Crislip

Peter and Yu-Tzu "Vicky" are Career Missionary Associates with the Assemblies of God World Missions. Peter is from Hutto, Texas while Vicky was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan. They both committed their lives to serving the Lord Jesus Christ around the age of 14. While in totally different parts of the world, God still impressed on both their hearts individually that He desired them to serve Him as full-time missionaries.

They met each other through Chi Alpha (XA) Campus Ministries at the University of North Texas (now "XA Denton-UNT/TWU") as Peter pursued his masters in Geo-Archeology at UNT and  Vicky came as an international student to UNT’s language school a year before beginning her graduate study in Vocal Pedagogy at Texas Woman’s University. 

From being student leaders to becoming staff and interns with XA Denton, God had prepared them for missions through international student outreach. He gave each of them a heart for the university students and young adults in Taiwan through a vision trip to Taiwan in the summer of 2014. They answered God’s call on their lives into missions in Taiwan, and in early 2015, they were invited to be a part of the team to plant the first Chi Alpha campus ministry in Taiwan. 

From 2016 to 2023, the Crislips had been serving on ministry team at Agape International Christian Assembly (ICA) in Taipei alongside other missionaries and pastors to help establish Chi Alpha in Greater Taipei area and reach and disciple university students—including international students whose population has rapidly grown in Taiwan in recent years. They also welcomed their two boys, Gideon (in 2019) and Elisha (in 2021), while serving on the field. 

Their heart is to bring the young generation out of the spiritual darkness into Christ's marvelous light, and raise up student leaders on university campuses who will carry the hope of salvation back to their campuses and into the world. 

➢ RECENT UPDATE (2023): The Crislips have been stateside since early 2023 to renew their missionary assignment, update their status, and raise the remaining support to return. Once they return to the field, they will be moving down to Vicky's hometown, the city of Taichung---the second largest city in central Taiwan along the west coast and the center of culture and arts of the nation---to fulltime focus on Mandarin language study (Peter) while they continue to reach and minister the young Taiwanese and international people, as well as serving with a national church in the city, as the Holy Spirit leads.
