About

Hola!

My name is Katie Carter and God has called me to serve as a missionary in Costa Rica. I have always felt a strong passion to minister to children. I will be working with our Child Hope Schools and specifcally focusing on teaching & discipling the girls.

My Story

In 2005, my senior year of high school, I was invited on my first missions trip. We went to El Salvador and I had no expectations but to serve where needed. Little did I know the Lord was orchestrating many events on that trip. I found myself praying in a dusty altar begging God to send someone to help bring hope to the kids we had ministered to that afternoon. It was the clearest I have ever heard Him speak to me. He was sending someone. He was sending me. Four years after that trip I boarded a plane and served for seven years in El Salvador with a childrens ministry. God did some amazing things during my time in El Salvador. Ask me about it!

In 2016 I began to feel Him transitioning me. In 2017 I moved to Costa Rica and there is much work to be done. I believe God is raising up young girls to know their worth and power in Him. If you have questions about the ministry in Costa Rica please ask!

About Costa Rica

Costa Rica has a population of about 5 million. Many people work in the coffee fields, pinneapple & banana farms. It is a beautiful country with volcanoes, beaches, and rainforests. It is a spanish speaking country and the people are hard working and very family oriented. In the late afternoon you will smell the coffee and fresh bread as people sit together and fellowship over "cafecito."
