About
Linking people globally to Christ’s compassion through community health development
Of the five human senses, vision is primary. Therefore, linking people who are blind or have a vision impairment with Christ’s compassion requires unique accessibility and cultural adaptations.
That is the ministry of Paul and Caryl Weingartner
They work with missionaries to find creative methods for improving the way those with vision impairments function in their own culture. The goal is to reach them with the good news of salvation and find their place serving in Christ’s body.
According to the World Health Organization over 1 billion people globally would have their quality of life significantly improved with a simple pair of glasses. An extension of the ministry of the Weingartners is managing the Optical Ministry of CompassionLink. The Optical Ministry trains and equips teams for glasses distribution as an expression Christs compassion.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. Ephesians 1:18 (NIV)
