John Mark & Oshiana Allen

Who we are:

We are lovers of Jesus Christ with a passion to serve in growing His Kingdom. John Mark grew up serving Jesus in Northern Missouri where his parents pastored a small Assembly of God church while Oshiana is from the mountains of Northern California. We have been married 25 years and have four children who also walk with Jesus. We met at Central Bible College and served together as lay leaders for 17 years, whether that meant having full charge of a service or changing diapers in the nursery. More recently we pastored six years at Family Life Assembly of God in Warrensburg, MO where we still reside with our four children.

Our Calling:

John Mark has felt called to pastor since his youth and has served a local church his entire life. Oshiana also grew up serving and felt the call to missions as a senior in high school but never to a specific location. Shortly after we left Family Life Assembly of God we sensed the Lord's call to Pacific Oceania. Fun fact: while at District Council 2021, Oshiana looked down at her nametag and said aloud, "I think I must be destined to go to Pacific Oceania." As a teen John Mark received a prophecy that he would pastor pastors. As we reached out to Assemblies of God World Missions leadership and heard of the need for pastoral development in Micronesia the call immediately resounded in our hearts.

Our Mission:

Our part in accomplishing the Great Commission is to partner with the national church of Micronesia to establish a Bible school on the Island of Pohnpei. This will serve the larger area of Micronesia, not only those living on the one island, helping those God has called as pastors from this area to be the most effective they can be for the Kingdom. To do this we must first learn the Pohnpeian language and study the culture. We will need to travel to islands separated by thousands of miles of ocean to build relationships with local church leaders so that they will send their people to this Bible school. Our first term will be spent laying this groundwork so that when we come back for a second term we will be prepared to see the school opened.
