Tim & Ellenora Bentley

Tim and Elle Bentley have been in full-time ministry for 16 years. They served as executive pastors in Alabama and Mississippi and, in 2014, were appointed as Assemblies of God Missionaries to Macedonia.

The Bentleys are the founding directors of Cry of the Balkans. Their ministry exists to Establish Churches, Equip Leaders, and Deliver Hope to the underprivileged and marginalized. Their vision is the establishment of 100 churches in the next 25 years. 

Elle serves as the director of Global University Macedonia and the Compassion Ministries Coordinator for Cry of the Balkans. She has a passion to see Macedonian women become everything God created them to be.

Tim serves as the Assemblies of God World Missions Financial Partnership Development Coordinator for the Europe Region. His responsibilities include coordinating and implementing training sessions for new Missionary Associates and Candidates approved to serve in Europe. Tim also serves as AGWM’s liaison to the Macedonian national church and as vice chairman of the board of the International Church (ICS) in Skopje, Macedonia. 

Together, they parent and share their ministries with two wonderful children, Bruin (8) & Irena (2). 

The Balkans of Southeastern Europe has been the center of conflict for centuries. Less than 1% of the Balkan population are evangelical Christian, and over 30 unreached people groups call this land home. Through a strategic partnership with local churches, the Bentleys are planting indigenous, dynamic, and Spirit-filled churches in Macedonia and the surrounding region.

Tim says: “God is moving across the continent of Europe. AGWM missionaries have developed unique ways of engaging the secularized and standing with the marginalized; however, if we are not moving these ministries towards establishing the church, what makes us different from any other humanitarian agency or self-help program? We must proclaim the Gospel! We must establish the church, train leaders, and bring the Hope of Christ to the underprivileged and marginalized!”
